A bit about the role
This is a unique opportunity to lead the City of Casey’s Best Start initiative and Supported Playgroup Program.
What you’ll deliver
- Increase children’s participation in Kindergarten, Maternal & Child Health and Supported Playgroup programs.
- Engage and build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coach organisations to embed an improvement approach to guide the creation of change ideas for testing.
- Review data and supporting evidence of local data sets to develop an understanding of community needs.
- Manage the City of Casey Supported Playgroup Program and In Home Support
- Supervise and mentor the Supported Playgroup facilitators.
- Manage service performance targets
What you’ll bring
- Comprehensive understanding of the early years’ service system
- Experience in the Best Start Program
- Extensive community development experience with an ability to engage, influence and develop strong partnerships
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing staff
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work or Health related fields
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History, Working with Children, Eligibility to Work
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
