Form of workThe Role:
Work across multiple business units and projects, leading the technical delivery of cutting-edge Business Intelligence solutions to deliver business insights for decision making that enable organisational performance outcomes, in accordance with the organisations policies and procedures and agreed scope and requirements.
- Lead the BI Engineering Strategy and Planning
- Own the BI Engineering Design and define the BI roadmap
- Lead the development and delivery of analytics and reporting solutions
Required Technical Experience:
- Visualisation, analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI, Excel (Advanced), Tibco Spotfire, SAP BO.
- Scripting language: Python
- Data language: SQL and Python
- Source Code Control: git-based
- Process skills and tools: Agile and JIRA (minimum), ITIL and ServiceNow
- Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, etc.)
- Extensive experience engaging with business stakeholders to elicit and analyse business requirements for reporting solutions and transcribing them into technical requirements.
- Extensive experience using databases and data warehouses and developing data transformation processes that produce data models (e.g., star/snowflake schema, OLAP) for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Extensive experience with the design, data modelling, development, functional and data quality testing of static reports.
- Considerable experience building solutions using cloud-native data and analytics services with relevant experience in AWS.
- Considerable experience with UX best practices, design, development and testing of interactive dashboards and reports built using Power BI
- Considerable experience with Python development for data and analytics use cases.
- Considerable experience with Agile practices and using modern integrated development environments (IDE's), collaboration platforms and Git-based software version control systems.
