Utilities - O&M
Within the Services division, the Utilities O&M (Operations & Maintenance) Business has a broad mandate to deliver programmatic services to power, water and gas asset owners, rounding out UGL’s service offering providing a one stop shop to the entire utilities’ asset lifecycle.
- Building on existing long-term contracts in power distribution and transmission, and water operations and maintenance, Utilities O&M is positioned for targeted growth, including:
- wining new power distribution service programs, in WA, VIC, NSW & QLD,
- retaining and growing existing power transmission maintenance panel contracts, and complementing the broader CIMIC group offering for major new energy transmission PPPs (such as Renewable Energy Zones, REZs) as the long-term O&M service provider partner.
A new role to support growth, reporting to the National Manager – Strategy & Development, to coordinate and manage the preparation of tender and proposal submissions with our targeted work ranging from programs to lump sum packages the key duties include:
- Manage winning strategy development for bids and offers.
- Manage Bid Team to ensure internal governance and compelling proposals is submitted on time.
- Review tender documentation ensuring a full and complete understanding of the technical and commercial commitment.
- Evaluate and manage all technical and commercial risks associated with the proposals
- Provide regular reports and recommendations on the progress of the tender and proposal
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the customer and all stakeholders to ensure the tender and submission are accurate and viable
- Business, Commerce, and Engineering experience is advantageous.
- Client management skills and experience.
- We are flexible for the role to be based from our Sydney (preferred), Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth locations.
- Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Project Management or similar)
- Significant experience in bidding and business development
- Extensive experience in tendering and coordinating several concurrent tenders, ideally from power distribution and transmission sector.
- Experience tendering to or working with clients such as Transgrid, AusNet, Western Power, Powerlink, Ausgrid, Energy Queensland etc.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.
