Work with a dedicated team to deliver Digital Engineering activities for a major upgrade of trackside signalling equipment for Digital Systems #1.Based out of Regents Park, Sydney on a permanent contract You will have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills in order to carry out your coordination requirements effectively and successfully.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop in BIM environment the Mainline and Urban (M&U) Signalling Installation Engineering activities, provide guidance to the BIM team ensuring delivery and quality of the documentation in compliance with M&U Signalling strategies.In compliance to EHS and regulatory standards, prepare and coordinate the Installation studies and activities applied to BIM environment, in coordination with the team.
- Implement the project specific standards and the BIM Execution Plan
- Ensure the technical understanding of the BIM Supplier Instruction by the Manufacturers and check the compliance of 3D Objects
- Manage the tools used for design development and deliverables production, providing hardware and network support as it relates to design BIM design and production
- Support the Signalling BIM modelers in daily tasks of design development and in the production of the 2D and 3D deliverables.
- Perform reporting of design development to the System BIM Manager and Region/Country Installation Engineering Manager
- Engineering Degree or Equivalent working experience
- Mid-senior level experience in production design, drafting or engineering (Project and/or construction)
- BIM Certification
- Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and ProjectWise
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to fulfil the role of Sig BIM Coordinator toward both customers and partners
- Good knowledge of Railway products and services knowledge on different market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M)
