Responsibilities:
- Collect kerbside bins, rubbish and recycling from assigned streets and sort into nominated areas of the collection vehicle.
- Unload waste collection vehicles on return to the depot or other nominated facility, ensuring that all products are placed in the correct bay/sorting area.
- Maintain a professional image of the company and deliver high quality customer service at all times.
- Assist in the cleaning and general maintenance of vehicles as required.
- Operate the vehicle to dispose of garbage and return the bins to the collected area, as required. Ensure daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment are carried out as required.
- Complete all records and paperwork accurately, as directed and required.
Skills & Experience:
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team. Experience in the waste industry (desirable)
- Commitmment to safety
- Physically fit and capable
- self motivated and prepared to work in all weather extremes
- strong customer service ethic
