We are seeking an experienced Sales & Operations Manager to lead and inspire our highly skilled and motivated sales, warehouse, and inventory control staff. Our brand-new purpose-built facility in Pakenham boasts an impressive retail showroom and is where you'll play a pivotal role in our continued growth and success.
Position Summary:
As the Sales & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our automotive Parts and Accessories sales department and warehouse. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals, including a warehouse supervisor, inventory controller, and sales team. Reporting to the directors, you will collaborate closely with them to identify and implement process improvements, ensure smooth operations, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership to the sales team, inventory controller, and warehouse supervisor, fostering an existing culture of collaboration, motivation, and accountability.
2. Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the sales department and warehouse, ensuring efficient order processing, inventory management, and timely customer deliveries.
3. Process Improvement: Collaborate with the directors to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements, and implement changes as necessary.
4. Customer Engagement: During peak times, be hands-on by answering phones, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving escalated issues to maintain excellent customer relationships, always with the hands on support of the company directors.
5. Recruitment: Work closely with the directors to recruit, interview, and onboard new staff as needed, ensuring a high-performing team is maintained.
6. Social Media Marketing: Utilize your experience in social media marketing to support the sales team in creating engaging and timely content for social media platforms, promoting new products, and running specials.
7. Inventory Control: Oversee the inventory control staff to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and replenishment of automotive Parts and Accessories.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably with some experience in the automotive Parts and Accessories industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with social media marketing and content creation (Ideal).
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to calmly identify solutions to support the best possible customer experience.
- Ideally you will have 4WD Parts and Accessories Knowledge: A deep understanding of 4x4/4WD vehicles, their components, and the associated aftermarket Parts and Accessories is highly advantageous.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in identifying and sourcing 4WD Parts and Accessories, as well as the ability to assist customers with technical inquiries and product compatibility questions.
- Passion for Off-Roading: A genuine passion for 4WD adventures and off-roading is preferred, as it will enable you to connect with customers and understand their unique needs.

Our operations are based in our new facility located in Pakenham, Victoria.
