Role Overview: They are seeking a skilled Biomedical Engineer/ Service Technician to join their service center team in Mount Waverly. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the maintenance of medical devices, including disinfection, repairs, functional testing, and safety testing. Full training will be provided, and you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks encompassing both technical and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform remote or in-person assessment of products and troubleshoot suspected faults.
- Implement preventative maintenance, testing, hardware updates, and firmware upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activity and a comprehensive product knowledge base.
- Manage asset inventory and ensure sufficient stock levels to support service center activities.
- Collaborate with the service center manager to uphold quality processes and standards.
- Strong PC literacy required for database entry and documentation management.
- Moderate physical activity involved, including cleaning equipment and lifting up to 6kgs.
- Degree in Biomedical engineering, electronic engineering, or equivalent; or tertiary, technical, or trade qualification in electronics/biomedical with at least 1 year of prior experience in service and repair.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
