Closing Date: Sunday 14th April 2024The Biomedical Engineering department provides a high quality medical technology support service to clinical staff in their use of medical devices to monitor, diagnose or treat patients. The objective is to provide safe, effective, reliable, and well maintained medical devices for patient care throughout the Hunter New England Health facilities. Safe working order and repair of medical related mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.About your job:Our successful candidate will be based at The Maitland Hospital and work within and support the wider HNELHD Biomedical team. Applying service maintenance and testing to Australian Standards, Break downs and Repairs to medical equipment commonly found in the health setting. Working alongside a team of Biomedical Technical officers and support staff and reporting to the Senior Technical Officers in the team.Other components of the role include supporting clinical staff team members with clinical equipment issues surrounding repairs, testing and servicing. Also, liaising with Service Representatives in regards to Technical Information surrounding repairs, maintenance, testing or information involving clinical equipment.If this sounds like you, we’d LOVE to see you apply:Our successful candidate will be equipped to work within a fast - moving team, willing to share and develop their existing and new skills within the biomedical environment.
