HRCC is a special purpose weed authority council for the cities of Blacktown, Hawkesbury, The Hills Shire and Penrith. We undertake weed control and inspection tasks across 3,800km2 and work in both land and aquatic environments.
We are looking for a motivated, reliable and trustworthy person to become a “Biosecurity Weeds Controller” commencing in April/May 2024. The job entails controlling, surveillance and mapping of weeds in a large variety of environments across our county council region, including aquatic and terrestrial activities. The successful applicant will show aptitude for physical outdoor work, an understanding of the local environment and the issues related to weeds impact. They will possess a TAFE Cert 3 in Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent) and be able to implement the full range of weed control techniques. You will become part of a professional team of like minded staff, provided ongoing training, development and career progression. Unsuccessful applicants may be placed on an eligibility list for future positions.
Pay range will be between $58,047 to $60,699 + 12.5% super annually and other entitlements as per the Local Government (State) Award. Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply.
