Blast Crew (Trainee)

Agile Mining Services is a privately owned company, based in Adelaide, providing specialist technical, mining, and mineral processing services to the South Australian iron ore industry. Our operations are located near Coober Pedy. We are a young developing company with both established operations and developing projects. Now is the time to get involved! 

About the opportunity:

Due to an increase in operational requirements, we are seeking applicants to join our company's Blast Crew. Successful candidates will have opportunity to be trained as Shotfirers after completing sufficient and acceptable Blast Crew experience.

Reporting to the Drill and Blast Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Quality daily documentation.
• Maintenance of machines and vehicles in a clean and tidy state.
• Carry out daily and routine inspections.
• Following instructions given by experienced personnel.
• Loading blast patterns with explosives.
• Inspect blasting areas and ensure observance of safety regulations.

What we are looking for:

• WA Shotfirer or SA Blaster’s ticket – Preferred but not essential
• Current HR Driver’s License - Preferred but not essential
• Drill and Blast experience - Preferred but not essential.
• Able to work unsupervised as required.

Pre-employment:
