Blast Hole Driller - Blackwater Region - Expression of InterestAction Drill & Blast | Regional QLDClosing date: 19/04/2024Action Drill & Blast is the leading integrated drilling and blasting contractor in Australia.We have a positive team culture based on our core values of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork and Innovation and we provide our employees with a safe and friendly work environment.We currently don't have any vacancies at present however that could change at any point in time so are seeking Expression of Interest so we can fill positions quickly when the time comes that we need to.The Projects in which we are seeking experienced Drillers for are as follows:

• Yarrabee Project(Blackwater region) - 7/7 roster
• Jellinbah Project (Blackwater region) - 7/3/5/6 roster

Job duties:

• Operating our REICHdrill C700 and C750 platform drill rigs (D65 at Baralaba as well)
• Accurately checking the quality and depth of drill holes and recording ground conditions that may affect blasting
• Maintaining a clean and tidy rig and reporting/addressing any maintenance faults
• Demonstrate a positive attitude towards regular and reliable drill metres, rig utilisation and consumables usage
• Provide neat and complete associated documentation for drill reports, pre-starts etc
• Regularly use safety tools such as JHA's and Take 5's
• Be willing to be trained across a variety of drill rigs in the fleet and show an adaptable attitude
• Willingness to learn and assist blast crew on drill & blast projects (Isaac Downs and Baralaba)

Experience and qualifications sought:

• Experience using platform rotary drill rigs
• Previos experience in Blast Hole Drilling in Black Coal mining
• Australian Driver Licence
• Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
• RII for Blast Hole Drilling - RIIBHD301D/E
• RII for Vehicle Loading Crane (preferred but not essential)
• RII for Conduct Lifting Operations (preferred but not essential)
