An exciting opportunity within our Sales Team exists for a SMART Systems Technical Manager. This position reports to the SMART Systems Business Development Manager.

ROLE
The position's purpose is to ensure that the planning, installation and commissioning of SMART systems including networking, software, hardware and monitoring platforms meet the customer requirements and provide our clients with a seamless installation and commissioning of their purchased systems. The position supports both the Sales and Technical teams and provides the interface between sales, operations and the customer. The position may liaise with external suppliers of our products to ensure any issues or improvements can be made for our clients.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, test, set up and maintain global process control networks including security, virtualisation, IoT-connected devices, and update for our clients
- Travel to client sites (in Australia and Internationally where required) and work both inside and outside the client site to deliver outcomes
- Support installation and commissioning of electronic controllers/water management systems and other SMART Systems liaising with site contractors
- Mentor internal personnel by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.
- Interface frequently with client/contractors and outside customer contacts and prepare written communication reports and plans
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of Building Management System (BMS)
- Preferably experience in the HVAC industry
- Experience coordinating activities related to networks, electronics, BMS software, equipment process control installation and modification of production equipment
- Minimum 2 years of applying process control strategies in a manufacturing or research & development environment.
- Experience in Customer Services/Troubleshooting
- Fluent in a variety of programs and software
- Experience in hardware, software, training and programming
- Experience in Commercial Plumbing or Healthcare sector
- Knowledge of loT Devices such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
- Knowledge of cloud-based SAAS platforms such as Microsoft Azura
