Alchera Living (Inc) is a small not-for-profit Retirement Village operator with four villages located within the City of Melville. Alchera’s objectives include providing affordable homes and a lifestyle within an engaging community for people aged over 55.
Alchera’s voluntary Board consists of eight members who fill a directorship role providing leadership and governance. The Organisation is seeking a Board Member who can commit to a minimum 24-month term and have adequate time to attend 12 meetings throughout the year.
Alchera has commenced planning its next phase of redevelopment and is currently recruiting for a candidate with skill sets and experience to support the Organisation as it embarks on its new journey of growth.
Alchera is looking for an applicant with any of the following skill sets and experience:
- Strong knowledge of the Retirement Village sector and relevant legislation governing the sector.
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management.
- Aged Care and associated services that support positive ageing.
- AICD or equivalent qualifications.
Applicants should:
- have an interest in the provision of affordable housing for seniors;
- have relevant tertiary or professional qualifications;
- have previous board / committee experience (highly desirable);
- have no conviction of any offences or be disqualified from being a Director;
- have no conflict of interest with Alchera Living (Inc).
