Vacancies on the Lady Gowrie Tasmania Inc Board of Directors
Lady Gowrie Tasmania (LGT) is a not-for-profit community-based organisation that delivers a wide footprint Education and Care Services across Tasmania with a commitment to quality, safety and ‘Children First’. In addition to education and care services in both long day care and outside of school hours care, LGT also delivers a range of support services both in the sector, as well as to Tasmanian children and families. LGT also operates a Registered Training Organisation, delivering qualifications to both LGT and external workforce in education and care qualifications. We also deliver external training and consulting services to the sector. Operating for over 85 years, as part of a network of six Lady Gowrie organisations around Australia, we have a long history of delivering quality education and care services to children and families.
The LGT Board of Directors is a volunteer Board, and we are now looking to grow membership and seek interest for future possible vacancies. The Board currently has 7 members, and includes a Chair, a Vice-Chair and Sub-Committee Chairs. The Public Officer role is currently undertaken by the CEO. The LGT constitution allows up to a maximum of 11 members including the Chair and Deputy Chair.
Whilst we are seeking applications from people who have general governance experience, the Board is also interested in the specific skill set areas of finance, project management and business growth.
