The Role
Peninsula Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Boarding House Supervisor on a casual basis. Located in the picturesque Mornington Peninsula, this role is based within the Jaffray House. As a Boarding House Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and happiness of our boarding students.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising and supporting boarding students during evening and weekend hours
Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment within the Boarding House
Implementing and enforcing Boarding House rules and regulations
Assisting with student welfare matters, including emotional support and conflict resolution
Organising and overseeing recreational activities for boarders
Maintaining accurate records of boarders' whereabouts and activities
Collaborating with other staff members to provide holistic care for boarding students
Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the Boarding House facilities
Being available for emergency response situations outside of regular working hours
About You
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with:
Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
Ability to maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for boarding students
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
Ability to multi-task, problem solve and manage time effectively to deliver on priorities
Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
Understanding of the pastoral care needs and a genuine passion for working with young people
Flexibility and willingness to work on a casual basis, including evenings and weekends
Previous experience in a similar role or within an educational setting would be advantageous
All positions at Peninsula Grammar require
Current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to apply)
First-Aid qualifications ( HLTAID009 CPR Course, HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid)
Child Safety training – (provided by the School)
