About The Role 
 

We are seeking safety-focused Boilermakers to join our passionate maintenance team. Having the right people working within our organisation focusing on our maintenance will allow us to unlock the value of our assets by ensuring that we have reliable equipment, predictable operations and a safe work environment for our people.

 

The roster is 7 days on, 7 days off (7/7) based at our BMA Mine site, located near Moranbah. Fly-In-Fly-Out options are available, as well as Drive-In-Drive-Out. Bus-In-Bus-Out from Mackay or Rockhampton is also available.


Reporting to Supervisor – Maintenance, your duties will include: 

 

  • Inspect, service, replace repair a wide range of mechanical equipment inclusive of (fixed plant structures e.g. pipework, pumps, conveyors & crushers)
  • Execute general fabrication repairs and replacements
  • Carry out preventative, general maintenance and repairs
  • Undertake training and upskilling as relevant to technical role
  • Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports, and drawings.
  • Be comfortable in the use of maintenance systems (SAP)
  • Take personal responsibility for achieving results
  • Actively participate in identification of continues improvement
  • Safety first with the capacity to speak up and play an active role in positive team culture and creating a great workplace
  • Collaboration with the great BHP Operations Services team

 

 

About You

 

You believe in the value that being a maintenance professional can bring to an organisation. Successful candidates will possess the following:

 

  • Australian recognised trade certificate – (Boilermaker)
  • Previous experience working in fixed plant maintenance, experience with Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) maintenance is highly regarded
  • Boilermaker trade skills validation (AS2980) is desired
  • Highly safety focused individual
  • Motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and engage in team operations
  • Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience or an ability to quickly upskill in work management software tools (e.g. 1SAP)
  • Demonstrated computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
  • C Class Drivers Licence mandatory – HR Preferred
