Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team on either a part time or casual basis with overall equivilent of 3 week days per week. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of trades and be able to perform a range of maintenance and repair tasks, as well as assist in coordinating with external trades from time to time. The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities and equipment are in good working order and will work closely with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Pay rates will be set via the Hospitality Industry General Award, and will be reflective of any trade certifications and/or proven experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facilities and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and systems
- Basic repair/replacement of plumbing, electrical, and air con systems
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
- Perform basic patching, painting, and other general maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work via our property management system
- Ensure that all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Handyman or similar role
- Good knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Experience with patching, painting, and other general maintenance tasks
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks
