AddressTurosi Pty Ltd is a privately owned Company with facilities in Victoria, Queensland and NSW, providing a full range of raw and cooked food solutions across a range of proteins to Australian Leading retailers and food service sectors. We are one of the largest poultry processors in Australia, supplying major brands across QSR/FCD, General Trade & Retail markets.
An exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Boning Supervisor at our Geelong manufacturing site, Victoria. This role will be reporting to the Site Production Manager.
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
- To work with other members of Turosi’s management team to ensure company goals and objectives are met.
- Maintain the equipment and facilities of the Company to the standards required by Government regulations (PrimeSafe, AQIS and OHS).
- Leading, supporting and building the capability of the team leaders and team to continue improving shift performance.
- To produce boned out meat whilst ensuring yields and quality are maintained.
- Co-ordination of all personnel within the Boning department.
- Control of production flow.
- Supervise all production activities encompassing the boning area.
- Liaise with Stock Controller and organise labels to ensure that all orders are completed.
- Co-ordinate with the Stock Controller and Boning Stock Control to ensure efficient production flow is maintained.
- Manage personnel functions, including staffing, inductions and training to Company procedure and product specifications.
- Monitor personnel performance and efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that all staff has the necessary skills to perform their duties in an efficient and hygienic manner, complying with Good Manufacturing Practice and Food Handling requirements
- Participate in site audits and initiate/implement action plans as required.
- Have a proven commitment to Occupational Health & Safety.
- Promote and maintain housekeeping and work place safety.
- Abide by all safety instruction and signage.
- Keep Management advised of any changes likely to affect the completion of customer orders.
- Work flexible hours.
Knowledge/Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
• To be dynamic, and have strong leadership and management skills.
- Supervisory/Management experience in the food processing industry.
• Demonstrated effective organisational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships.
