About the role:
The APS 5 Procurement (Labour Hire) is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
The position is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex research, analysis and advice work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position as it provides procurement advice.
Duties:
- Provide level administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Assist with tracking value for money-based outcomes and preparing reports against key performance indicators.
- Prepare a range of procurement-related documentation.
- Draft correspondence and reports, including emails and letters.
- Enter, extract and manipulate data to enable accurate business reporting.
- Contribute to team and branch planning activities including identifying opportunities for improvements.
Additional Duties:
- Develop procurement documentation.
- Collate candidate packages for assessment by the requesting business area.
- Raise contracts and purchase orders.
- Maintain a shared database.
- Respond to enquiries as a Subject Matter Expert.
Key skills and experience required for the Role include:
- Federal, State or Local Government experience.
- Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate understanding of the MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask.
- Ability to remain composed in a changing, faced-paced environment.
Desirable skills and experience to have for the Role include:
- Previous experience using HR and/or Finance business systems.
- Understanding of procurement or recruitment processes.
