The largest bookselling network in Australia, we pride ourselves on providing the best experience for our customers through our extensive range of books, gifts, and stationery.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in planning, to maximise the profitability of Dymocks product mix and ensure that the correct quantities are stocked at the right time.Your responsibilities as the Book Merchandise Planner will require you to:
- Manage the Book Areas OTB to ensure we have the correct stock levels to achieve our sales.
- Produce range plans and category plans seasonally
- Work on promotional performance and trade plans both for current and future trade.
- Review weekly as well as month end reporting and make trade and stock conclusions and recommendations.
- Run post seasonals reports with key metrics and learnings to action going forward.
- Produce supplier reports highlighting variances vs targets.
- Work with Allocators on maximising stock holding in our company stores
- Do analysis on our book buying units and provide the buying team with key volume and category insights to assist in their ranging
- Minimum of 4 years planning experience as either a JNR planner or planner, (ideally from a book background)
- Advanced Excel skillset
- Financial acumen
- Great level of attention to details
- Good with numbers and systems.
