Bookkeeper

Neverstop Water Group is a well-established and leading water industry trade services company and is currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software and spreadsheets.

- Process and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and payments within established deadlines.

- Prepare regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies.

- Manage accounts payable and receivable, following up on overdue payments and resolving billing issues.

- Payroll preparation, processing and tax filing, including maintaining employee records and calculating taxes, deductions, and benefits.

- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement efficient accounting procedures and internal controls.

- Provide support during audits, ensuring all financial documents and reports are accurate and accessible.

- Stay updated with regulatory changes and maintain compliance with all relevant accounting standards and laws.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in a medium-sized company within the trade industry.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in using Xero accounting software.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with colleagues and clients.

- Professional certifications such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) are advantageous.
