Part-Time Bookkeeper

Are you a skilled and experienced bookkeeper with a background in e-commerce? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proficient Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis in Bondi NSW.
If you have a strong foundation in Xero, payroll management, and can confidently prepare BAS for accountants, coupled with experience in an e-commerce setting, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
1. Xero Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in using Xero for bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
2. Payroll Management: Handle all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees. Stay updated on payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
3. BAS Preparation: Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and liaise with accountants to ensure compliance with taxation requirements.
4. E-commerce Experience: Apply your bookkeeping expertise within an e-commerce context, understanding the nuances and specific financial requirements of online businesses.
5. General Bookkeeping: Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including but not limited to bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records.
6. Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights for business decision-making.
7. Communication Skills: Effectively communicate financial information to internal stakeholders and collaborate with external partners, such as accountants and auditors.
8. Adherence to Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a similar part-time role.
2. Proficiency in Xero and other relevant accounting software.
3. Strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance.
4. Experience in preparing BAS and liaising with accountants.
5. Solid knowledge of general bookkeeping principles and practices.
6. Previous experience working for an e-commerce business.
7. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Working Hours: Part-time 3 days a week.
