We are a well-known Accounting, Financial Planning and Brokering firm with offices located within the Inner North/West and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne VIC.
We have a strong team culture and are looking for a motivated and reliable Bookkeeper and Administration team member to assist with our continued growth. This position will be based at our Moonee Ponds office with the potential for either a part-time or full-time role.

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Bookkeeper to provide exceptional customer service and assist with the day-to-day administrative requirements of our busy firm.
About the role
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following daily duties:
- Prepare bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations.
- Preparation and distribution of client invoices via our Xero Practice Management system.
- Processing of accounts payable and receivable requirements including monitoring of debtor payments and ongoing works in progress.
- Recording cash receipts and handling bank deposits.
- Data entry of invoices into Xero.
- Maintain accurate and up to date financial records.
- Processing of weekly payroll, STP and superannuation requirements.
- Ongoing maintenance, reconciliation and compliance of business Trust Account.
- Maintenance of ongoing licencing, membership and insurance requirements.
- Prepare and review end of month reporting for management.
- Managing and updating client details and database information as required.
- General administrative support as required.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will possess the following previous skills and experience:
- Experience within the industry in a bookkeeping position.
- Previous experience in utilising Xero and processing payroll.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Excellent communication skills and experience with internal and external stakeholders.
- Clear understanding of the importance of professional confidentiality.
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Ability to multi-task and work reliably within a fast-paced environment.
