The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper / Administration Officer who also controls the Company financial Accounts who will work closely with the Company Director, General Manager and external Accountant. This is a pivotal role within our organisation, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact. You will be a problem solver who enjoys introducing and implementing new systems to ensure the business is running at the best optimised level. This is a multi-faceted position that requires the following areas of expertise: Accounts, Bookkeeping, Office Administration, Payroll and Customer Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keeping financial records up to date
- Posting customer payments, and reconciling payments
- Bank reconciliation
- Processing of invoices and account reconciling
- Monitoring client statements, and other transactions
- Payroll
- Fact-checking invoices for payment and processing
- GST and BAS submissions
- Compiling weekly financial figures for the Director
- Monthly update of the Profit and Loss, Cashflow and other ad hoc Accounting Reports
- Preparation of all reports for our external Accountant
- Perform general administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, managing emails and handling correspondence.
- Social Media posts, website updates & marketing material
- Dealing with, and resolving, client financial and general queries
- Order and maintain inventory for office stationery and supplies
- Project documentation preparation.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strategic thinker with a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar role
- Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in accounting software MYOB and MS Office, with a keen eye for detail.
