Bookkeeper / Office Administrator

- SOR location
- $65-$70k plus super, pro rata

Specialising in Transport, Logistics and Heavy Diesel Mechanical Repairs, this established family company located in the Canning Vale is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Bookkeeper / Office Administrator.
This role is suitable for a mature, reliable and positive person who enjoys being part of a small team and who will be able to exhibit a solutions & systems orientated mind set, work autonomously and pay great attention to detail. Experience in the transport industry and within a family business would be advantageous.
You will be an integral part of our team and will be responsible for administrative and financial duties, whilst providing office support to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping (Shared role):
- Accounts receivable, invoicing
- General ledger maintenance,
- Payroll, superannuation and sub-contractor payments
- BAS / IAS
- Financial reporting
Office administration:
- Records management
- Maintenance of excel based registers
- Office support for General Manager
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant must have proven skills and experience in the following:
- Advanced bookkeeping skills, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience using Xero
- Proficient in Microsoft products, particularly Word and Excel
- Aptitude for third party portals
- All facets of office management, ensuring efficient operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive solutions and systems oriented
- Time management and multi-tasking skills
- Strong attention to detail, methodical and well organized
- A grasp of numerical details and an analytical mindset
- Personable, approachable and professional
- Preparing and Lodging BAS / IAS
- Thorough understanding of Payroll and Leave Entitlements
