The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares and home of Australia's First Carbon Neutral Beef - Five Founders. NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 14 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD.Alexandria Station, NT Our Alexandria Station is located on the Barkly Tableland in the Northern Territory and is NAPCo's largest and oldest property, acquired in 1877, with the Gallipoli Outstation. Alexandria is the 3rd largest cattle station in Australia.The role
Reporting to the Station Manager, we are currently seeking an experienced Bore Runner, to work in a permanent full-time position at our Alexandria Station, NT.Day to day duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and maintaining water supplies and associated infrastructure for livestock
  • Re-fuelling / starting pumps
  • Checking on stock
  • Maintaining fences
  • Working alone and unsupervised
  • Performing your job safely and operating equipment in a safe manner
Ideally the successful candidate will:
  • Have experience working as a Bore Runner
  • Hold a current C class drivers licence
  • Be a self-starter that is able to work autonomously and unsupervised
  • Prior mechanical experience would be highly regarded
  • Be committed to working safely in accordance with NAPCo's HSE policies and procedures
