About the Role:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their team as a Branch Manager for their NSW operations.
This role is diverse and will see you managing all aspects of the branch from Operations through to sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will:
Operations:
- Oversee facility operations, including Inventory, OHS, and general facility maintenance.
- Daily management of staff to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Forecast and plan inventory in collaboration with the customer base and head office on a weekly basis.
- Coordinate deliveries of boats or boat/trailers to meet customer expectations during sales runs.
Sales:
- Maintain and oversee the existing dealer base, ensuring trailer scheduling and spare parts market growth.
- Establish new accounts in the NSW region and develop new clients with the assistance of the National Sales Manager.
- Audit and process warranty concerns promptly in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
- Represent the brands at Boat Shows and manage related activities as identified by the National Sales Manager.
- Collaborate on sales forecasting and planning for future growth.
Other Key Tasks:
- Ensure site procedures maximize productivity and safety.
- Consult with team members to align factory priorities with customer demands.
- Collaborate with Head Office to ensure site operations are consistent with company expectations.
- Offer technical consultation to clients and members of the public.
- Drive continuous improvement at the site.
- Act as a front-line customer service contact for Head Office, clients, and the public.
- Learn and operate the SAP system daily.
- Assist with freight, unloading of containers, stock takes, and fit ups of boats and trailers as required.
About the Successful Candidate:
You will have a background in Branch Management or Sales Management within a dealer network from within an Industrial, manufacturing environment and will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in the marine industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of sales processes and dealer management.
- Familiarity with inventory forecasting and planning.
Technical understanding of boats and trailers is an advantage as is proficiency in SAP. A forklift license is highly desirable.
