Background of Position
- The Marketing Communications Manager will report to Head of Marketing ANZ and be a key player in enhancing brand development and executing effective through-the-line marketing communication strategies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing campaigns across various channels, and driving brand awareness and engagement in the ANZ region.
Operational Tasks
- Sponsorship: Lead and manage end-to-end campaign executions to maximise partnership value to grow affiliation and engagement
- Public Relations: Drive strategy and backend project management to ensure key brand messages are delivered accurately and on time. Lead PR agency to execute timely product reviews to support new product launches
- Media Buy: Develop and implement media buying strategies to optimise reach and engagement across owned, paid and earned channels to achieve brand objectives and budget allocations
- Social media: Develop and execute social media strategy, including content creation, scheduling, and community management, to increase brand visibility, mentions, engagement and support product launches.
- Market Research: Lead brand and consumer research initiatives to enhance communication strategy and identify market opportunities. Study consumer purchase behaviour and trends to develop customer profiles, target audience segmentation to inform marketing strategies and refresh brand guidelines
- Agency Management: Lead and manage agencies across key marketing functions including but not limited to: creative production, public relations, media buy, data automation, sponsorship.
- Stay informed about industry trends, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform communication strategies
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Lead internal digital team on above-the-line (ATL) campaign executions, ensuring collaboration to understand and execute key campaigns across trade communications (retail e-commerce/digital)
Internal Collaboration
- Global Reporting: Provide regular reporting to HQ on strategy and tracking marketing metrics to ensure targets are achieved and contribute insights for global strategy alignment to garner additional support where possible
- Internal Communications: Manage local internal communications to keep the wider business updated on the latest activations and key results, fostering alignment and engagement across departments
- Work closely with product and sales teams to support new product launches and drive revenue growth
Competencies & Skills for Position
- Bachelor Degree in relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing communications covering key responsibilities in the consumer electronics industry is favourable
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful integrated communication campaigns
- Leadership experience is preferred
