As the First Chef for the breakfast shift, you'll be responsible for delivering delicious and nutritious meals to our hardworking team on-site.
Position: First Chef - Breakfast Shift
Location: FIFO Mining Camp in Kalgoorlie-Boulder
Salary Range: $95,000 - $100,000 per year
Roster: 2 weeks on, 1 week off
Shift Hours: 9:00 PM - 9:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality breakfast meals according to menu specifications and dietary requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff during the breakfast shift.
- Ensure food preparation and presentation meet high standards of quality and hygiene.
- Manage inventory and stock control efficiently.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Collaborate with the team to develop menu ideas and special offerings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Chef, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on breakfast cuisine.
- Ability to work effectively in a FIFO setting and maintain high standards under pressure.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification is preferred.
