Job Description
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and motivating your team, ensuring they deliver professional, efficient and friendly service during breakfast. You will be assisting the Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day operations in Q Dining, In-Room Dining and Conferencing/Events. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide for guests and patrons an experience and environment they feel meets their expectations
- Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.
- Liaise with customers and Chef/kitchen brigade to ensure service times are adhered to.
- Ensure revenue for the shift is accounted for with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities.
- Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following Hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted.
- Set up systems to protect and maintain control of restaurant and conference service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes.
- Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.
- A true ‘people person’ who is able to create connections with our guests and residents quickly.
- You will have passion, and well-rounded knowledge of the latest food and wine trends.
- Hold a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Availability to work the breakfast shifts as required.
- Lead by example and be motivated to take ownership of this role, and progress within our company.
