A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Community Nurse to join our Community Health team in a challenging and rewarding position. This role provides a great chance to use your skills and knowledge in cancer nursing in this specialised role.
The position: Ongoing, Part-Time, 40.0 hours per fortnight
The objective of the Breast Care Nurse (BCN) position is to improve the quality and continuity of care and support provided to clients diagnosed with breast cancer across the continuum of care. The position is funded by the McGrath Foundation under the Breast Cancer Nurses Initiative, providing specialised Breast Care, information, education and support to clients relating to breast cancer in accordance with evidence based clinical practice guidelines.

Key selection criteria:
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- A relevant post graduate qualification in Breast Care or cancer nursing
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience including some experience in oncology or cancer nursing
- A genuine interest in breast cancer nursing combined with a good knowledge of breast cancer disease, treatment and services.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality management, client care and improved health care outcomes.
