Job Description
An exciting opportunity for a part time Surgical Breast Care Nurse (BCN) at Epworth Richmond is now available. Working with our key (breast surgeon) stakeholders, this role will be practice based to support the needs of women undergoing surgical treatment for breast cancer.
The BCN will play a pivotal role in meeting the psychological, emotional and education needs of women, providing them support throughout their patient journey.
You will make an impact by:
- Providing information, resources and support to both patients and their families/carers
- Facilitating relevant referrals to ensure patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care
- Liaising with VMOs and other members of the health care team
- Provide education to patients undergoing surgical treatments for breast cancer
- Ensure patients are aware of support services available within the hospital and the community
The successful applicant will have:
- Current Nursing AHRPA registration
- Surgical Experience in Breast Care Nursing
- The ability to work independently and with multi - disciplinary teams
- Proven interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated excellent time management and prioritisation
- Commitment to safe best practice & quality care
- Post graduate qualifications in (or working towards) Breast Care nursing

The annual salary range for full time Clinical Consultant – AUD $105,814 - $106,466 + super + entitlements ,depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time).
