What you will be doing:
- Preparing and present food for range of services including breakfast, sandwich and buffet lunches, dinners as directed by Regional Executive Chef and Lounge Manager.
- Monitor and replenish the buffet counters during main service period
- Ensure adequate level of preparation is left for next shift.
- Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality.
- Taking inventory of lounge supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
- To be responsible for weekly stocktaking, including the reconciliation of all stock transfers.
- Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.
- Helping with deliveries and restocking.
- To ensure that routine servicing of all kitchen equipment is carried out with contracted maintenance providers.
- Be reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
