Residential Support Worker

About the Roles:
Broome Bail house Hope aims to create a safe and respectful home environment for young people going through the Youth Justice system.
The Day Program Mentor works collaboratively with the Coordinator to develop a personalised, strengths-based daily activity plan for each young person residing in the Bail service. This plan creates opportunities for young people to experience a healthy lifestyle and recreational activities. The Day Program Mentor is also responsible for providing support to the individual needs and goals, as identified by the young person and their Youth Justice Service case plan.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will work with other staff to carry out the day to day, routine and upkeep of the Bail house. You will work with young people to build rapport based on trust and respect and help work to develop goals and strategies to manage their wellbeing. You will respond to mental health concerns and behaviour in a non-judgmental and compassionate manner.
Both positions will show leadership by setting boundaries and being a positive role model for young people, underpinned by the service rules and guidelines.
