About the Role
We are on the lookout for motivated and detail-oriented Budget Support Planners to join our team. As a Budget Support Planner, you will play a crucial role in assisting disability participants on optimising their allocated funds. Your responsibilities will include:
- Early identification of overspending and providing education on budget management.
- Analysing participant records to make funding decisions, aiming to reduce overspending.
- Engaging with participants and their representatives via telephone communication to understand current circumstances and spending patterns.
- Maintaining high-quality record-keeping, showcasing competency with IT systems, and adhering to process guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Conducting research and reviewing decisions, managing moderately complex cases with the assistance of higher classification levels.
- Completing administrative and data entry tasks related to participants.
- Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets.
- Other duties as needed.
About you
To thrive in this role, you need:
- Previous experience in the disability sector, highly regarded.
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual team with a national presence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort in making calls.
- Strong analytical and research abilities.
- Sound knowledge in service delivery areas.
- Competency with IT systems and data entry.
- Ability to work within established procedures and guidelines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
