The Client Manager – Building Products has primary responsibility for:
- Conducting product certification evaluation activities within their areas of competency.
- Conducting product certification audits within areas of their competency.
- Providing an efficient, effective and responsive client management service to SAI Global clients.
- Technical management of assigned programs and associated activities to ensure accreditation requirements are met in the delivery of service to clients.
Auditing
- Maintain audit rigour and integrity to meet internal and external accreditation requirements.
- Perform audits and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure optimal client service.
- Review new applicants’ quality plans in accordance with the relevant SAI Global Product Compliance Program document, technical schedules and product standards.
- Undertake where necessary, product sample selection and perform test witnessing.
- Conduct both Product Certification and Management Systems audits as required.
- Ensure all audit documentation is accurate, complete and submitted for review within the required timeframe.
- Ensure audit utilisation targets are met.
Client Management
- Deliver services to clients in accordance with customer and Product Certification business requirements.
- Ensure all client data is correct and current within the relevant SAI Global systems.
- Instruct clients on the requirements for testing, reporting and confidentiality.
- Manage and oversee client non-conformances (including product recalls).
Technical Management
- Evaluate products and test reports against requirements of the appropriate standard and legislative requirements.
- Secure, review and process product certification applications and endorsements, including conducting desktop reviews.
- Provide pre-sales support to Sales through technical input into quotations/proposals and conduct contract review activities as appropriate.
- Provide support for and technical review of audit durations and audit planning.
- Conduct audit and project reviews as required.
- Assist the certification authority as required in audit and project submission reviews.
- Prepare Technical Schedules applicable to particular standards in liaison with the Service Delivery Leader and where necessary, representatives from industry, regulatory authorities and testing authorities.
- Represent SAI Global in applicable forums.
- Respond to technical enquiries from relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with technical and Certification Specialists as required for specific guidance
Develop skills and undertake training to maintain currency in relation to:
- relevant product matters
- quality assurance matters
- relevant legislation and regulation
- product standards and certification methods
