BCA Engineers is seeking a highly motivated, pro-active Mechanical Engineer for an exciting opportunity to join our Adelaide office. This individual will develop and deliver quality engineering solutions across a variety of market sectors working with and leading project engineering teams.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in mechanical engineering or a related field, AND a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in mechanical engineering (HVAC).
- Experience in delivering Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) outcomes to certification schemes such as GreenStar, BESS, NABERS and NatHERS
- Resourceful team player possessing strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work within project budgets and schedules.
- AutoCAD and Revit knowledge
- Experience in Quality Assurances in respect to relevant Codes and Australian Standards
- Certification as a Green Star Accredited Professional is not mandatory but would be considered highly favourable
- Experience in managing a variety of projects and lead teams simultaneously
- A very high standard of organization and inter-personal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working day-to-day in a busy office environment
Responsibilities:
- Operate as a design manager/project manager on various projects
- Site surveys to assess, evaluate, and document existing conditions
- Complete material research and compile project data for the project
- Performing calculations in support of HVAC designs
- Prepare concept, schematic design, designed designs and Building Services plans for pricing, tender, approvals, and construction to suit project requirements
- The right candidate will have a sound engineering background, and be able to demonstrate experience in modelling, calculations, system selection, sizing and application of Australian Standards
- Prepare technical specifications as required to suit project requirements
- Communicate and co-ordinate work with project team, consultants and clients
- Undertake construction administration responsibilities, including attendance at construction site for inspections and preparation of reports
Occasional travel will be required
Must be a permanent resident /authorized to work in Australia.
