Form of workOur client, an innovative, agile business is seeking a motivated individual to appoint as a Building Supervisor to their team.
As the Building Supervisor, you will report directly to the State Manager and play a crucial role in supervising, planning, and monitoring projects from start to finish. This role also includes estimating, conducting property inspections and assessing each project, completing estimates, allocating costed work orders and preparing and submitting reports and quotes.
Specifically, the successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Manage, monitor, coordinate and supervise projects
- Conduct inspections and compile scope of works
- Prepare and submit building inspection reports
- Communicate and keep stakeholders informed and up to date
- Plan, schedule and deliver multiple residential and commercial construction projects
- Supervise and maintain quality control for active projects
- Assess and reconcile trade and supplier invoices
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and enjoyable work environment
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following qualifications, experience, and core competencies:
- Certificate or Diploma in Building & Construction (desirable)
- Experience in estimating
- Experience in a customer service focused role
- Ability to work autonomously and maintain workflow
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Excellent time management skills, managing multiple tasks, competing priorities, and meeting conflicting deadlines
- Capacity to exercise judgement and direction when dealing with sensitive and or confidential information
- Well presented with exceptional work ethic
- Knowledge and understanding of internal documents including but not limited to, specifications, selections, plans and construction details
