Business Administration TraineeCapital Program

Council has an opportunity to appoint a maximum-term full time Business Administration Trainee to contribute to Council’s success.  This traineeship opportunity is for a 12 month period to undertake a Certificate III Business Administration and is based at the Calliope Office. The employment contract will commence on Monday 20 January 2025.

About the Opportunity

The Capital Program team is responsible for managing, executing and delivering a multi-year portfolio of capital infrastructure projects.  You will be coming into a very organised team, that ensures all projects are scoped, scheduled, costed, with all project outcomes and performances reported monthly to the Executive Leadership Team and Councillors.  We have a strong stakeholder relationship responsibility and ensure all internal and external stakeholders are informed and aware of all project impacts.  The scale of projects the Capital Program team look after ranges from playground equipment all the way up to multi-million dollar developments, we are heading into a 12 month budget of $100million.

You will learn document management, data entry and analysis, report writing, portfolio management, reading and interpreting technical drawings, project administration, stakeholder management and a basic understanding of the Asset Management Framework Council uses to direct how we maintain and renew our assets.
