Position Description
Our client is seeking Business Administration officers with SFIA ADMN Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 skills (https://sfia-online.org/en/sfia-8/all-skills-a-z). An existing TSPV is required and the client will not assist candidates in obtaining one. No remote work is available, all work will be performed at a client site.
Required Skills
- Assists the team/manager in ensuring they have the information needed to support ongoing team processes.
- Assists in planning for meetings.
- Sets up and provides detailed guidance on software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques for administration and workplace productivity.
- Liaises and organises across functions. Updates and maintains office policies and procedures.
- Managing and performing administrative services and tasks to enable individuals, teams and organisations to succeed in their objectives.
- Basic administration tasks may include — but are not limited to — answering telephones, dealing with business correspondence, calling clients, customers and colleagues, greeting visitors, e-mail, filing, using digital tools to organise team meetings, making arrangements for travel and meetings, dealing with relevant suppliers.
- Provides administrative support function to teams and meetings.
- Sets up files, software systems, onboarding new starters, compiles and distributes reports. Provides guidance on administration software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques.

Additional Information
Candidates are expected to work up to 5 days/40 hours per week, unless otherwise agreed. All work will be performed on client sites in Canberra. Offsite (work from anywhere) working arrangements will not be considered. An OSA may be required and determine a person’s suitability to work in the organisation. An OSA requires a psychological assessment, which includes a questionnaire and interview. Before submitting an application for this role, consider your preparedness for questions that may include topics such as: personal relationships, living circumstances, personal values, financial situation, physical and mental health history including substance use, and any civil and/or military record. The Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) can take up to 6 months to complete and this will impact your potential start date. Employee screening will be conducted including an Identity check, Residential History check, Eligibility to work in Australia check, Security clearance check, Sanctions/consolidated list check and a National Police check.
