Description
The Manager/Senior Manager will lead a team, ensuring effective task allocation and fostering professional growth. Additionally, they will play a pivotal role in expanding client relationships and identifying new business opportunities through personal and firm-wide networks.
Statutory Compliance Work:
Manage and coordinate statutory compliance tasks such as financial statements, income tax returns, activity statements, FBT returns, and corporate secretarial duties. Guide and support team members in their completion, and ensure accuracy and completeness of final work before review by the Director.
Tax Advice:
Coordinate and provide tax advice to clients on income tax, GST, fringe benefits tax, payroll tax, and transfer duties. Identify and refer complex issues to Directors or specialist staff for accurate resolution as needed.
Management Accounting:
Review and prepare accurate management reports reflecting key performance issues for clients. Assist clients in implementing complex accounting systems as needed.
Time and Practice Management:
Manage time and practice effectively by planning work production, budgeting individual jobs, allocating tasks to staff, monitoring work completion to meet deadlines and budgets, handling billings and collections, and promoting standardisation of procedures and services.
Other General Areas:
Deliver presentations in small or large meetings to support business development or provide strategic advice. Stay updated on legislative changes and reporting requirements to maintain technical knowledge. Participate actively in monthly Managers Meetings.
Profile
- 2 to 3 years or more experience in a similar role within a practice accounting and advisory firm.
- CA qualification preferred, however, CPA still applicable.
- Experience in handling statutory compliance tasks including preparing financial statements, income tax returns, activity statements, and FBT returns.
- Proficiency in tax planning calculations and advising on income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, and transfer duties.
- Leadership skills to manage and train staff.
- Ability to handle complex client work and provide insightful management reports.
- Excellent organisational skills to consistently meet deadlines and effective communication abilities for teamwork and client interactions.
