About the Role
We’re excited to grow our HR team with a Senior HR Generalist. Reporting to the Corporate Services General Manager, you’ll also be providing guidance, support and coaching to the HR Coordinator.
As the Senior HR Advisor, you’ll be the ‘go-to’ and subject matter expert for all things employee and industrial relations. Including ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and mitigating HR risk.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to Business Leaders in relation to performance management, disputes, grievances, investigations and a range of complex and sensitive HR, IR/ER issues.
- Work in conjunction with the EGM and Business Leaders with the continuous improvement initiatives of remuneration reviews, probation reviews, and performance management.
- Lead, contribute and update HR policies and procedures, in accordance with current legislation and HR management best practice.
- Lead and contribute to various HR Initiatives and projects in support of the overarching departmental strategic HR plan.
- Develop HR correspondence, documents, reports, and induction and training presentation material as required.
- Collating and reporting on performance reviews, including probation reviews.
- Contribute to our ‘Thrive’ program, which focuses on shaping our organisational culture and values.
Skills | Experience | Qualifications
The ideal applicant will have experience across modern award interpretation, a love for HR and strong stakeholder engagement skills with a confident and approachable coaching style.
- 7 + years experience in a similar role with at least 2 years operating at a senior level
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline
- Preferably have previous experience within industries such as Engineering, Construction or Professional Services.
- Experience undertaking workplace investigations and performance management counselling as well as facilitating mediation and managing grievances
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with exceptional time management and planning abilities
