A high profile federal government department is seeking multiple Business Analyst to work with a multidisciplinary team. The position will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management within the functions. Joining the Platforms, Integration & Data team you will be responsible for scoping, designing, delivering and maintaining high quality IT systems and applications to support the entire agency and our partner organisations. The successful Business Analyst will secure an initial 12 month contract plus a 12 month extension, coupled with a premium hourly rate!

The successful Business Analyst's will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and manage requirements, ensuring they align with the department’s architectural principles and strategies.
• Utilize both traditional and Agile methodologies to facilitate requirement gathering, backlog refinement, data analysis, and support project management in translating these requirements into actionable deliverables.
• Lead workshops, perform detailed business analysis including process and data modeling, and recommend enhancements based on solid evidence to improve systems and solutions.
• Support and maintain customer data and system integrations across business units, focusing on outcome-driven solutions and maintaining strong relationships.

The successful Business Analyst's will have experience in the following:

• Experience of at least 5 years, working in a similar role performing business analysis activities.
• Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with technical SME's to define and obtain an understanding of business needs.
• The ability and desire to quickly learn and understand technical concepts to effectively engage the technical teams and deliver accurate documentation as part of the solution design.
• Proven experience, of at least 3 years, in a role relating to cloud platforms (preferably Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure) including delivery of new services.
