The ICT Business Analyst (BA) will work within Theatre Air Control Systems – project office.
The ICT BA will be contracted to analyse and report on process and information flows for both current and proposed mission systems, culminating in a gap analysis that identifies necessary interfaces with legacy systems.
Deliverables
Primary Responsibilities:
- Gathering, validating and documenting process and information flows.
- Identifying and documenting system and process interfaces.
- Performing functional gap analysis between current and proposed mission systems.
- Produce systems views using logical models of components and interfaces.
- Produce reports to inform stakeholders of gap analysis results and interface requirements.
- Be proactive in identifying, exploring and managing technical risks, issues and opportunities to ensure an effective and efficient delivery of the mission system.
- Facilitate relationships and effective communications with external stakeholders.
- Inform the project team and external stakeholders of progress and results.
- Report containing analysis and system views of current mission system, detailing process and information flows and interfaces.
- Report containing analysis and system views of proposed mission system, detailing process and information flows and interfaces.
- Report containing functional gap analysis between current proposed mission systems, highlighting required interfaces between legacy and new sub-systems.
- Provide weekly status updates to the Project Manager on activities, actions and review of external stakeholder deliverables as well as any assigned risks, issues and opportunities.
- Deliver final reports and brief to project team and external stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology.
- NV1 security clearance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role with direct exposure to ICT architecture.
- Technical knowledge of Defence ICT systems, certification and accreditation requirements.
- Experience working with the Australian Signals Directorate, Chief Information Officer Group or Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group.
- The position must be able to access ITAR/US Export Technology Control, and as such cannot be from, have strong ties to, or be a dual citizen of a prescribed/prohibited tier 1 or tier 2 country.
- Canberra based and available to work in the office at a minimum of 4 days a week.
- Experience with deploying software on Defence architecture would be highly regarded.
