Department Overview

Bring your talent and skills to Motorola Solutions as part of the Melbourne Design Centre team. As a Business Analyst, you will be a key member of the Delivery organization responsible for the delivery of our PSCore mobile application. Working as part of a talented delivery team, you will help drive requirements with the customer and elaborate to the engineering team to develop and deliver next generation mobile products that allow first responders to respond effectively in mission-critical operating environments and keep our communities safer.

Among many other achievements, last year PSCore was delivered to one of our prestigious customers as a world-first iOS public safety mobile app integration with Apple CarPlay. We're continuing to innovate and deliver and are now looking for a world-class Business Analyst interested in delivering products that continue to make a difference.

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across delivery and R&D, including development, design and pre-sales to ensure the successful delivery of products that meet customer needs and business objectives.

  • Facilitates requirements gathering workshops and innovation forums with customers and stakeholders.

  • Leads on-going requirements gathering effort with customers and establishes agreed acceptance criteria.

  • Documents feature requirements and their acceptance criteria, along with required supporting documentations, to ensure that a feature is ready for development.

  • Leads backlog grooming to assist scrum team who decomposes and estimates tasks.

  • Attends and participates in Agile SCRUM ceremonies.

  • Supports project team members in understanding requirements throughout the project lifecycle, and the Project Manager in identifying project tasks and deliverables that relate to requirements.

  • Assist project managers with stakeholder management in regards to business requirements

  • Assist in identifying customer requirements delivery risks and its management and mitigation actions.

  • On-going cohesive collaboration and alignment with Delivery Engineering lead on the implementation of requirements.

  • Continuous collaboration with R&D and product team on emerging patterns and requirements to facilitate alignment with delivery.

Basic Requirements

  • Must have external customer facing experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience

  • Growth mindset that is able to take on challenges and learn from them.

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Lead Engineer or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.

  • Experience executing product roadmaps that deliver business results.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
