The key duties of the position include:About the RoleDigital Solutions overview – The Digital Solutions Division is responsible for national digital health architecture, conformance, data, design, products, standards and for supporting the user design principles that underpin all the Agency’s products and services.
The Agency is currently recruiting for a Business Analyst (APS6) to join our team on a full-time ongoing basis. The role is accountable for executing service functions within the Standards section of the Connected Care branch. Reporting directly to the Senior Business Analyst, the Business Analyst drives and delivers product design changes in line with the vision and strategic direction of the portfolio by developing and documenting requirements from key stakeholders.
The role involves gathering information, demonstrating strong writing abilities, and showcasing excellent listening and communication skills. As part of our team, you will work with external partners to drive change and promote the adoption of national standards for healthcare software, aiming to unify the nation’s healthcare system. This role requires a candidate who has robust collaborative and facilitation skills which will be instrumental in transforming the healthcare landscape. Within this role you will operate under broad direction with a considerable level of autonomy. You will be required to make decisions based on professional judgement, evaluate risks and tackle complex problem-solving in a changing environment.
EligibilitySkills and Experience
Previous experience working as a business analysis.
Outstanding verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and business teams.
Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse, isolate and interpret business needs, generate user stories and requirements.
Proven experience in stakeholder management to achieve project or operational objectives, with the ability to anticipate stakeholders needs and expectations.
Capable of working independently, with minimal guidance, while adhering to established priorities, practices, and methodologies to deliver high-quality results.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency.
Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
