About the role
Reporting to the Applications Manager, our new Business Analyst – Application Support will be responsible for the overall software and application needs for V/line. This position will be centred around optimising internal systems, providing recommendations on how to maximise return on investment , improve scalability and availability.
Key Accountabilities include:
On-going management of service requests, problems and continuity
- Providing recommendations on builds, acquisitions or implementation of new systems
- Collaborating with Solution Architects and Enterprise Architects in designing future state
- Assisting with development of manual and system user procedures
- On-going maintenance of both new and existing application reference data
- Assist team with patching of applications
- Ensure continuous improvement of the Cloud Application footprint
About you
- Must have 3+ years’ experience working as a technical Business Analyst for software and applications
- Demonstrated experience successfully working as a Business Analyst on complex software projects (E.g. system upgrades/implementations/transformations)
- Thorough understanding and demonstrated experience with ITIL processes
- Proven experience building relationships and effectively communicating with various stakeholders, both internal and external
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, or related field (highly desirable)
Salary for this position is commensurate to the successful candidate’s aligned skills and experience to the position.

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2019 / Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2019).
