Role
As a Senior System Engineer, you will work collaboratively with engineers, software developers, and clients to develop advanced software products for Defence customers.
Due to clearance requirements candidates require Australian Citizenship, candidates without this cannot be considered for this position.
In this role, you will bring your technical expertise and customer-focused mindset to ensure the success of our engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical oversight and rigor across the engineering lifecycle.
- Developing and maintaining engineering artifacts, including requirements, architecture, and design documentation.
- Championing systems engineering processes and best practices.
- Identifying and mitigating engineering risks proactively.
- Mentoring fellow Systems Engineers and collaborating with Project Engineering Leads.
You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Australian Citizenship required for this role, NV1 clearance or higher essential
- Relevant degree in Computer Science
- Have working experience in developing and implementing system engineering processes while identifying and addressing engineering risks
- Experience in the documentation associated with requirements and definition, management, traceability, engineering change, verification, and validation
- Experience in the design and implementation of software products in an Agile environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with Agile software engineering methodologies.
- Knowledge of the ASDEFCON Standard (an advantage).
- Expertise in one or more of the following domains: Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Electromagnetic Warfare (C4ISREW) or Information Warfare (IW).
- Experience in software product design and implementation.
