Job description

Teck Global is seeking an experienced Business and Projects Administrator to join us to work on our exciting roster of upcoming projects. Our ideal candidate will have experience across various aspects of business administration including reporting, HR and general administration and a sound understanding of management systems. This position will also suit someone recently graduated from university who wants to gain experience in various aspects of business administration and management.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly project performance reviews, analysis, and reconciliations
  • Assist within maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Assist in the monthly invoicing process, including preparation of Statutory Declarations, timesheets, and reports
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify and implement process improvements
  • Execute purchasing functions, generating vendor purchase orders
  • Timely submission and verification of timesheets, as well as coordination of leave entries in payroll system
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, travel and office management tasks
  • Facilitate site mobilisation/demobilisation activities, including training, medicals, and registrations
  • Provide support to client teams and Projects when necessary
  • Perform any other administrative tasks as required
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environment and quality management systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, accounting or related field
  • Assist with the entire recruitment process from advertising through to employee offer stage
  • Assist with managing onboarding process including the set-up of inductions for all new employees
  • Updating and maintaining employee digital files

Requirement and Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative and bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and accounting software (e.g. Xero)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
