Business Events (BE) Perth is the peak industry body responsible for marketing Western Australia as a destination for international and national conventions, corporate meetings and incentive travel groups.
We are looking for a self-motivated, focused, goal oriented individual with a high level of attention for detail to join our Strategic Projects team.
The purpose or prime function of this position is to contribute to the successful development and delivery towards BE Perth’s strategic sector focus, to maximise business events outcomes for Western Australia
What you'll do…
- Contribute to the successful development of foundation conferences in targeted strategic sectors and delivery of projects in confirmed conferences that align with BE Perth’s strategic sector focus (Diversify WA) to maximise economic, media and social returns to Western Australia.
- Implement specific project development activities such as coordinating stakeholder consultation, undertaking, and interpreting research, coordinating WA focused program activities to increase business event outcomes such as increased trade and investment, keynote speaker and VIP programs.
- Contribute to the delivery of project/s with external stakeholders to meet BE Perth objectives.
- Establish strong relationships with external event management organisations and other stakeholders to ensure open lines of communication and assist in the smooth delivery of the contracted parties’ obligations.
- Ensure timely coordination of specific projects and contract requirements including marketing and operational planning, financial, risk management and insurance requirements.

Qualifications…
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and project management and/or event management experience.
- Proven track record with a minimum 5 years within the Business Events, Professional Conference Organiser industry or similar i.e., Event management and Production Companies.
